Office of Governor Little Releases preliminary public input number in school selection

Boise, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) – Governor Brad Little's office published preliminary statistics on Saturday about the breakdown of public input regarding the school selection of Idaho.

While the office is still compiled the latest data, 32,366 calls and emails have been collected to Veto House Bill 93, while according to an email from the office it was only received to sign them.

The office said that governor Little “takes into account a variety of factors in order to weigh up his decision on an invoice that reaches his desk”.

With the invoice, parents can apply for an annual, reimbursable tax credit of up to 5,000 US dollars for “qualified expenses” for primary school children and $ 7,500 for students with disabilities.

The invoice does not include public school lessons, tutoring, textbooks and other costs.
