Ollies buys 40 large lots in bankruptcy. Are those in Florida? See list

The Bargain Outlet Store Ollie's, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, recently announced that it would acquire 40 locations across the country, while the retail chain navigated.

“Everything about these shops agrees well with our business and growth strategy. These locations have the right size, have cheap rental terms, are located in existing and adjacent trade areas and have long had value-conscious consumers,” said Eric van der Valk, President and CEO of Ollies, in the press release.

Big Lots was the fourth largest retailer for household goods in the USA when it registered bankruptcy in Chapter 11 in September 2024 and had 1,392 shops at the beginning of 2024. According to his website, Big Lots now has 381 shops in the USA.

The full list of the locations bought by Ollie's bought large loose comprises three in Florida

While the announcement of Ollie's did not contain any details in the shops, the full list of Bill Read, Executive Vice President from retail specialists, a commercial real estate company that specializes in retail real estate, was published in LinkedIn, reported Crains Cleveland Business.

The list was admitted to the District of Delaware in an insolvency registration on February 27th before the United States's insolvency court.

The list contains three locations in Florida:

  • Brooksville: 20050 Cortez Boulevard
  • Land O'lakes: 2414 Land O Lakes Boulevard
  • New Smyrna Beach: 1998 State Road 44

What is Ollie's bargain? How many are in Florida?

Ollies is called “America's largest retailer from Closeout -Merchanschandise and excess inventory that offers” extreme value for brand name products “.

According to his website, the retailer operates 581 shops in 32 states, including 38 in Ohio. The Sunshine State is connected to Georgia for fourth place in the nation for the number of Ollie's Stores, with Texas running the pack in 50 shops.

Florida Big Lots shops probably remain open

In December, Big Lots announced that it would close all business. The company has slowly closed business in the USA in the United States in recent months, including dozens of Florida when it registered the bankruptcy value of Chapter 11.

More than 600 shops have already closed. According to the USA Today, however, around 200 loose shops remain open.

According to another list of Gordon Brothers, some large loose rental contracts from Variety Wholezers Inc., a retail company with headquarters in Henderson, North Carolina, are taken over.

Here is the list of the locations of the large loose in Florida, which is expected to be taken over:

  • Ormond Beach: 122 S. Nova Rd.
  • Ruskin: 3048 E. College Ave.
  • Spring Hill: 2384 commercial path
  • Holy Cloud: 3401 13th St. Ste. 100
