On February 25, 2025, the Salida police were called to a welfare check in the residence of Jason Marsden, 52 years, in the 744 f Street, Salida. The officials reacted to the residence and discovered a late man.

Detective have requested additional resources from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to support the examination.
