Orioles SS Gunnar Henderson, who returns the opening day

Shortstop Gunnar Henderson said he believed that on the opening day he could return with the Baltimore Orioles in good time with the Baltimore Orioles.

Her season opened on March 27 on the street against Toronto Blue Jays.

The 23 -year -old Henderson would be removed from the tense intercostal muscle for a month, which brought him out of the Grapefruit League games, February 27. He returned to limited baseball activities this week and said on Saturday morning that he was “on the right track” and think that the opening day was a feasible goal.

“This is my plan,” said Henderson. “I hope for that.”

Henderson rose for the first time since the injury of dry swings to the cage in the cage and field balls. Apart from the setbacks, he could still see Innings in the field before the curtain falls on Spring training on March 23.

Henderson played 159 games and was for the first time in 2024 all-star with 37 homes, 31 doubles, 92 RBIs and an operating room of 0.893. He was the rookie of the year of the American League in 2023.

The Orioles plan to be careful in their approach, based on Henderson's story with abdominal muscle trunks. In the first three weeks of spring training, he struggled to be sloped by left.

The latest injury is different, said Henderson and has lingered more than earlier expenses. In three spring training games, he only had six bats (one goal) before loading the muscle leap for a line drive.
