Oscars 2025 red carpet, Prom-core was the biggest trend

If you are still looking for the final fashion trend that can be seen at the Oscars 2025, run into your parents' basement, dig out this old photo album and laugh at the fact that almost all of your favorite actors were present in Hollywood's biggest night. With versions of clothes that you may have worn for your disciples. And it was delightful!

Fashion houses, including Armani Privè, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Dior, were well represented, famous brands that were known to create the blueprint for real aspiration Hollywood Glamor.

Many of these Oscars looks did not try to be idiosyncratic, which is part of their attraction. Save for the Evil Girls-Ariana Grande in Sculptural Schiaparelli and Cynthia Erivo in High-Drama Custom Louis Vuitton-They Were Exquisitely Felt Of A Piece With Another Era Entirely, Whether a version of Midcentury America (Marilyn Monroe Have Looked Out of Place in Demi's Hourglass-Shaping Armani Gown, Nor would Audrey Hepburn in Mikey Madison's Elegant Dior) or the strange, sighted glaring glare of Y2K, the influence of which we still see.

I am not sure what I expected from this special red carpet – DDRAB sacks to perhaps exactly present the epic catastrophe 2025? Overdone high concept designs as political protests? No. We got a return to traditional oscars-and Prom-Night-Glamour in the form of Demi Moore's Plunging, Shimmering Gown, Followed by the Fizzy Champagne Shade of Selena Gomez and Emma Stone's Body-Skimming Looks, Followed Still by the Aggressive Dresses Worn Worn By Women Including Penelope Cruz and Connie Nielson, and the Mirrored Columns of Mindy Kaling and Halle Berry's Designs. Everything felt nice, but – in her own way –Normal Because they probably wore a version of one at some point. And at the moment any kind of normality should not be undervalued.
