OSHA opens the examination of the hospital's shootout in Pennsylvania

The occupational safety agency opened an investigation by the fatal shootout at the UPMC Memorial Hospital in York County, in which a police officer in West York was claimed. The active shooter, taken hostage, shot the prosecutor Timothy Barker Firedyork County, the shooter, Diogenes Archangel Ortiz, entered the hospital with a bag with a handgun and a zipper at 10:35 a.m. It was expected to recover. Another doctor was grazed by a ball and did not need medical help. A fourth employee suffered injuries from a fall during the incident. The law enforcement agencies trained to get in touch with Archangel Ortiz and found that he held an employee with a weapon held up. Archelngel-Ombells commanded the police to come back and they did so to keep the hostage safe. Archangel-Ortiz then occurred when he held the hostage with the gun held and the police fired and killed the shooter. An officer from the municipality of Springetsberry and a regional official from North York County were injured, but have been released from a hospital since then. The West York Borough, Andrew Duarte, was brought to the wellspan York Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 12:19 p.m.: Pictures of Duarte's funeral.

Osha published an “inspection detail” on his website, in which only a few details about the security examinations are displayed.

The inspection type is listed as a transfer. It was opened on the day of the shootout on Saturday, February 22nd.

The examination remains open.

Active shooters, taken hostage, fired shots

Timothy Barker, District Prosecutor of York County, said

He went to the intensive care unit and held several members of the UPMC employee as hostage, where he fired his weapon and scored three employees.

A nurse and an administrator were shot. It was expected to recover. Another doctor was grazed by a ball and did not need medical help. A fourth employee suffered injuries from a fall during the incident.

An UPMC officer reacted immediately to the incident and Archangel-Portizer shot at them. The law enforcement agencies trained to get in touch with Archangel Ortiz and found that he held an employee with a weapon.

Archangel-Ortiz ordered the police to come back and they did so to protect the hostage.

The officials tried to speak and loosen Archangel while creating a new formation. Archangel-Ortiz then occurred while he held the hostage with the gun held and the police fired and killed the shooter, said Barker, said Barker

The incident ended around 11:13 a.m.

Officers shot

Three officers were made in exchange.

An officer from the municipality of Springetsberry and a regional official from North York County were injured, but have been released from a hospital since then.

The police officer of the West York Borough, Andrew Duarte, was brought to the wellsspan York Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 12.19 p.m.
