Springfield, Mo. (Ky3) -An Ozarks man does history in the cowboy action and win his seventh world championship.

Dylan Holsey has been a cowboy action shoot since the age of five, but his passion comes from a deep respect for security of weapons. He won his first World Cup at the age of Cowboy Action at the age of 16.

He says it's not just about learning how to shoot. It is also about practicing security.

“Sport is based on the safety of firearms. This is something that I am very passionate and keep weapons in my hands responsible firearms,” said Holsey.

This weekend he took part in the World Cowboy Action World Championship in Phoenix, Arizona. Protects protecting several weapons in this competition and competing in time -controlled phases head to head. He returned to the Ozarks with his seventh world championship title.

“That is about 24 rounds of four different weapons with a lot of movement,” he said.

Holsey's trip was not always easy. Last year his father, who brought him to sport, suffered a stroke. He decided to stay at home to take care of him and missed the World Cup 2024. “After that last year took me away from the opportunity to come back this year and to do it, there is no feeling that the world feels like.”
