Pacers sign Tony Bradley to the second 10-day, final squad place Still Center

Indianapolis-Die Indiana Pacers signed the Tony Bradley Center for a second 10-day contract. The great man originally signed a 10-day contract with the team on March 2, and this agreement was made at the end of Tuesday.

Bradley appeared in four games for the Pacers during his first contract and played a total of about 9.5 minutes. He made all three attempts at the field from the field, moved in four rebounds and added a block and an assist during this route. The Pacers went 3-3 with Bradley Inked.

“I thought Tony Bradley played some of the best defense of the entire half compared to the five position,” said Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle on Monday after his team took over the Chicago Bulls. The head coach likes Bradley's hands and defensive instincts.

Bradley's best excursion was the above that Carlisle had mentioned above. The big man scored six points against the bulls and played for almost eight minutes – it was his first important campaign since February 2023. The next day, Bradley came during the competition section of a game between the Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks – Indiana hoped that he could help with the rebound and he took up one in his short -term stint.

Since his season was limited, it is difficult to evaluate what Bradley really can do. But his value for Indiana is less about what it is specifically for its size and what it represents and what he represents. He is a third center, and the Pacers are easy in the position after he lost both Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman against Achilles in the first weeks of the season.

Why do the Pacers always sign centers?

These two injuries have informed almost every step that the Pacers took this season. They exchanged against Thomas Bryant, signed (and waived) Moses Brown, brought Jahlil Okafor with him and now Bradley steps back into the mix. The Pacers opened a squad square at the end of the trade, but like the movements of Bradley and Okafor, it was about finding the right center to round off the squad.

The Buyout market did not reveal much quality in the middle position. Mo Bamba, Christian Wood, Adama Sanogo, Liam Robbins, Kylor Kelley and Cody Zeller form the group of bigs that were made available after trading – and Bamba has signed a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans since then.

Bradley became the choice of Pacers for her third tall man in early March. During the 2023-24 NBA season, he did not land on a squad, so this campaign was a pleasure for the earlier choice in the first round. He is thrilled to be back in the association.

“Happy to be here. Enjoy the moment … stay ready, “he said.

His former head coach Billy Donovan reminds Bradley for his skills as a roll man. Rebounding has always been the best ability of North Carolina's product, and he showed that he was during his first 10-day pact.

The Pacers quickly worked Bradley. You will need it if the start center Myles Turner or his backup, Bryant, is injured or hit by bad difficulties in a certain night. These reasons are why Indiana focused on the center position throughout the season – they were lucky that Turner and Bryant were mostly healthy.

Bradley was in Utah with his G League team when he got the call that he would sign the Pacers. “I'm grateful for everything,” he said. After a year, he takes care of his body from NBA and worked on his game on his way. “The most important thing is only my self -confidence,” he said of his growth. “Just continue working and do different things that I have to work on.”

The Pacers are now around 2 million US dollars under the luxury tax. Bradley cannot sign another 10-day agreement with Indiana. On March 22, the team has to decide whether to sign the big man for the rest of the season (and playoffs) or to pay their attention elsewhere in search of third parties.

Indiana now has the scope to sign a 15th and last player and avoid the tax. They have a few bonuses that think about player salaries, but some of them seem to be a close closure in order to be a not identified problem. Perhaps Bradley can earn this 15th squad square, and he still has 10 days to prove that he is the right choice. If he can't, the Pacers could look somewhere else.
