Pakistan End Champions Trophy campaign without victory as a match against Bangladesh because of rain

The Pakistani profit campaign in the Champions Trophy continued, and her match against Bangladesh was canceled without a ball being involved in Rawalpindi in Rawalpindi on Thursday. The match was effectively a dead rubber, with both teams already out of the dispute after they had not won a victory in their two earlier games. Pakistan, who organized an ICC tournament for the first time in 29 years, had hoped for a strong finish, but ended her catastrophic campaign without a win. Persistent downpour let the ground soaked, with the ceiling on site and puddles formed in the field. After the weather did not improve, Match Officer shouted the game almost two hours after the planned start time. The gloomy weather even prevented the litter from taking place.

As a result, the two teams each shared one point, although both Pakistan and Bangladesh ended the tournament.

This is the second match in Rawalpindi, which will be switched off after washing up between South Africa and Australia at the beginning of this week without a ball being involved.

The rain -induced task made the home fans frustrated when they hoped for the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan was criticized because they had a bad representation of the tournament in the tournament and had suffered defeats against New Zealand (from 60 runs) and India (by six gates).

“We wanted to do well in front of our nation. The expectations are very high. We didn't play well and it is disappointing for ourselves,” said Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Rizwan thought forward over the street and said: “You can learn from your mistakes. We made mistakes in the last games. Hopefully we can learn from it.

“We will go to New Zealand next and hopefully we can appear there and the mistakes we made against New Zealand here in Pakistan can learn from it. And we will do it better in New Zealand.”

“We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to play against India.”

The deputy co -trainer of Pakistan, Azhar Mahmood, who comes from the city, led his team's bad show in the tournament to injuries to the key players and the fact that the team exerted too much pressure against India.

“We didn't play well in this tournament. We played a good cricket in this format, but it didn't go well in the tournament due to injuries. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves against India,” he said.

“We know where we have to improve. It is about adapting and taking on responsibility. The results were also a surprise for us,” he added.

The former test all -rounder said that the people should keep confidence in the players.

“We have to stick to the talent that we identify so that it will be good in the months,” said Mahmood.

Pakistan had lost two top players – Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub – against injuries that influence their campaign.

“The guy who performed in Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe in the past few months … The team was combined and then suddenly when someone is injured, the team is disturbed,” added Rizwan.

“As a captain, you can also look forward to it. A page can be said that the team is disturbed, but this is not an excuse. Yes, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub have been injured, but we will learn from it,” added the captain.

“We are all very disappointed. We are all here for the nation. Pakistan is our priority and the expectation of us is very high. We are upset and we accept that we have not done it well. Hopefully we will do more hard work and comeback,” added Rizwan.

Much to reflect on Bangladesh

Bangladesh, who also ended her tournament win, will return home with five gates after the loss of six gates and New Zealand to have lost to India.

“I am very disappointed. We really wanted to play this game, but I can't do anything about the weather. The way we inspire the game for a long time was very inspiring for us in the two games,” said Najmul Hossain Shanto, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.

“We hope we can learn from our mistakes. We will create a real plan and execute the plan.” Shanno said about her bowling unit: “We always have to struggle with our fast bowling unit, but many quick bowlers have come through in recent years.

“Some of the fast bowl at home do it very well. It like Taskin, Rana comes in. Fizz is there. We have a very good bowling attack. I hope you will do the job and do the best for the team.”
