Palmyra's Hill, who trained football in class 6 Waynesville

Palmyra, Mon. – The injection of the life of Dalton Hill, which was built into the Palmyra soccer program, was noticed by administrators across the state.

Waynesville hopes that he can do the same for his program.

Hill, a graduate of Mark Twain, who spent the last two seasons as head coach in Palmyra, recently assumed an offer to become head coach at Waynesville, a class 6 program in the Central Ozark conference.

“I look forward to the move and look forward to training in class 6,” said Hill, who led Palmyra in three of the first four games last season and a total of 5-15 record in two seasons. “Like everything, there are different rewards and different challenges. I am excited to see what is ahead of us. “

Waynesville ended the last season with 0: 10 and has not enjoyed a winning season since 2019 than the Tigers went 7-4. Waynesville, which has an enrollment of 1,627 students, has been 9-41 in the five seasons since then.

“Waynesville fascinates me because they have all the bones to be successful with their program,” said Hill. “They have a large number of children who come out and play every year. You have a fantastic football complex in terms of strength dreams, trainer discussion rooms, changing rooms, sports training and field, etc.

“Every time you have the chance to take part in one of the best conferences in the state and have all the resources you may need, you have a real opportunity to turn the program around.”

Hill took over the Palmyra program in 2023 after the dismissal of Kevin Miles and his employees. Former Northwest Missouri State Start Offensive Lineman injected the Palmyra program with its practical approach and violent intensity.

“I enjoyed the children,” said Hill. “Many of the children I worked with were great. I enjoyed my employees. I enjoyed my administrative team. I really enjoyed working with children in all athletics in the weight room. These are the things that made it difficult to leave. “

Nevertheless, he is excited to see what the next chapter brings.

“I think my time in Palmyra helped me to prepare for this moment,” said Hill.
