Parts Florida with a heavy storm; Timing & threats

Parts of Nordflorida have a slight risk of storms on Wednesday. Central florida could also see some isolated heavy storms when a cold front presses through the region. The cold front will drive from north to south via Florida. It is connected to a very large low -pressure system towards the northeast. This low -pressure system extends over 1,200 miles and brings a huge wind field over the large lakes, the northeast and even south through a large part of Florida.

Timing of the storm

The Florida Panhandle will probably experience overnight on Tuesday to Wednesday morning in heavy weather. Although the risk of storm decreases in the east, it will still be available from Tallahasse by Jacksonville along the I-10 corridors and for the surrounding areas in the morning between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Gainesville could also see one or two isolated storms that could create harmful wind, and an isolated tornado cannot be excluded.

Storm threats mainly in the morning hours in North Florida and isolated strong to heavy storms in the late morning until afternoon hours for central florida.

In central florida, the thread for isolated thunderstorms will arrive after 11 a.m., and the storms will push south between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., probably will not be so productive in this region in Oscola County, but an isolated heavy thunderstorm could develop. Remember that even with an isolated heavy storm wind gusts of at least 60 miles per hour and a storm could become Tornadian.

We do not predict storms in Südflorida, but there could be some isolated downpours if the front penetrates. Much of its moisture will dissolve when the cold front moves through the counties Broward and Miami-Dade.

After the front sweeps through Florida

The wind will remain strong on Thursday along the peninsula. The oceans will also be rough along the golf and Atlantic coast. Dangerage marine conditions will prevail until late Thursday, mainly from the north north vest. A high pressure is built from the west and the winds will be slowed on Friday. However, if the high-pressure system moves to the east, the winds on Saturday will mainly change from the south-southeast and the temperatures and humidity increase. The temperatures will jump on Thursday afternoon from 10 to 12 degrees below average to the average in the deep 80s in central florida on Saturday.

For North Florida and the Panhandle, the temperatures in the afternoon on Thursday in the mid -1960s with a fresh cool wind, sometimes strong, take place. The temperatures will be in the mid to 70s by Saturday, but the chance of showering will return. Expect a cold night over the i-10 corridor on Thursday evening to Friday morning along the Panhandle, with some cities falling to the middle to the upper 30s. Südflorida will be mild; The highest stands are between the low until the mid -1970s, whereby Nordwinde could exceed between 10 and 15 miles per hour and a few gusts, which could sometimes exceed 25 miles per hour. The temperatures will return to the low 80 by Saturday, and the winds will be up to 12 miles per hour.
