Paulding County Man because of murder in a fatal neighborhood shooting role, says the Sheriff's office

Atlanta, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man is charged with allegations of murder after he allegedly recorded a fatal “shooting stroll” in a quarter of Paulding County on the weekend, said the sheriff's office.

On Saturday around 11:50 p.m., 911 Dispatch received several calls from residents in the Fox Ridge subdaction in Dallas about fired shots, according to the Paulding County's Sheriff.

The deputies and paramedics soon answered two houses on the Fox Ridge Court “regarding several people”.

The Sheriff's office said the MPs found shooting victims in the houses. They also found the suspect, who was identified as a 52-year-old Jody Thomas Wales.

The MPs said that the residents of one of the houses were able to submit whale until the arrival of the law enforcement.

Two victims were critically injured and taken to the hospital, where 73-year-old Larry Thomas Wales died. The second victim, a 47-year-old man, remains in a critical condition.

Jody Thomas Wales was booked into Paulding County's prison under the following charges:

  • Crime
  • Malice murder
  • Five cases of serious physical injury
  • Tightened battery
  • Two counts of the slump
  • Two cases of criminal damage to the first degree of property
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

Wales currently has no bond.

“Senseless violence in our community is not tolerated,” said Sheriff Ashley Henson in an explanation. “We are grateful for the men and women who help to ensure that our district is safe every day.”
