Pedestrians killed near Elysian Fields; Separate shootout in the municipality of St. Bernard

New Orleans (Wvue)-A woman was killed and killed in an accident near Elysian Fields Avenue and the Caton Street on Thursday evening (March 13), said the NOPD.

The authorities said the crash occurred around 8 p.m. The victim, an adult female pedestrian, was declared dead at the crime scene.

The police have not published any further details about the incident, and the search for the driver does not take.

The road closures are actually in force when the investigators work the scene. Gentilly Boulevard in East in Elysian Fields and Elysian Fields towards the south on the Gentilly Boulevard are closed, according to officials.

In an incident that was not related, the St. Bernard Parish authorities examine a fatal shootout, which took place shortly after 7 p.m. in the 2,200 block of the Colonial Boulevard in Violet.

The police say that an adult man has been shot and detectives are working to collect further information.
