Persistent water leaks remained unsolved

A water leak that started on Sunday morning, February 16, was six days after an obvious attempt to theft, in which a brass cock was stolen and the water knife was broken.

The incident caused water to escape from damaged pipes, which was frustrated with residents of Casper Crescent in the Trrenance Park.

“It was easy – quickly,” said Lawrence Arthur Kinloch, whose measuring device was his property. On closer inspection, they found that the brass tap was missing and the pipes were broken.

“The measuring device was still there, but the brass cock was only missing. And then the pipes were broken, ”he said. However, it later became clear that the water knife had also been damaged. “The measuring device was not intact,” confirmed Kinloch's neighbor and added that the damage was probably caused in an attempt to steal it. Kinloch and his neighbor had reported the problem to the municipal authorities several times a day.

“We called about three times a day every day. The Call Center only accepts its statement, but there is no answer. We called again and again and nothing happened, ”said the neighbor.

In order to try to stop the heavy water flow, the neighbors had placed a flat stone in the area that could temporarily prevent the water from spraying, and according to the neighbor was the only time when the water flow decreased.

On Friday, February 21, however, the city workers visited Kinloch's property to repair the measuring device. According to Kinloch's neighbor, who spoke to the municipal officer who repaired the pipe, the team allegedly reacted to a similar problem in a different property in the trenance park, because Kinloch's property was nearby to stop and stop on the way, and the meter kept on the way and the meter.

“You didn't come for it – you came to another house,” said Kinloch's neighbor. Although the neighbor registered a complaint to the municipality via the broken measuring device, he said that only one reference number was specified and when they tried to pursue according to the measuring device, they were informed that no plumber was available.

However, the residents of Casper Crescent pointed out more alarming problems with their properties that are located along a hill with overgrown bushes and rocks.

Their houses were built by the community 35 years ago, and for 35 years the residents who lived under this hill have experienced heavy water leaks that flowed down from the hill and their undergrowth and in their backyards.

According to a resident, the water is spring water, but they could not confirm where the water could come from.

Only two properties under this hill are equipped with a drainage system that the municipality had installed. However, this does not trigger the excessive floods and damage to the properties and the water that leads through the drainage systems.

A resident even claimed that her house was flooded during a heavy rainstorm. The residents complained that they live in fear because they once experienced a mud pans, from which a resident claimed that their wall had broken into because of the mud blid. The residents claim that they had contacted the community for help on many occasions, but their calls and requests have fallen on deaf ears.
