Pieper in the car seat publish newly designed desktop and iOS apps

WordPress.com owner Automattic acquired the multi-service messaging app app peg for $ 125 million last year and said it would merge with texts.com, an earlier acquisition in the same category. Now Beeper publishes the first set of newly designed apps for iOS and desktop in Beta after the merger.

In a blog post, Beeper said that the desktop app was created from scratch using the foundation of the Texte.com -app and the iOS app from scratch. The company added that the new apps are hungry faster and less battery.

Kishan Bagaria, founder of texts.com, said on X that users can continue to use the old app, but the company offers an easy way to migrate to the new apps.

The app currently uses Beeper Cloud to save messages and login information for other services. All this data will be saved in the upcoming versions. In addition, the new apps have encryption for encryption for better privacy and security and support several accounts associated with the same messaging service. Bagaria also mentioned that the MAC app can think down to the users and receive it after IMESSAGES.

Beeper was founded by Eric Migicovsky, who was the founder of the Pebble Smartwatch and partner at Y-Combinator. After the acquisition, Migicovsky became a messaging head of the outfit. Last month, however, Migicovsky announced that he was concentrating to build Pebble again.
