The Hillsborough police published a composite sketch of a “interest person” when a police officer was shooting in front of the city's police station.

He is Hispanian at the age of 25 to 27 and is 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches, with a slim building and a pale complexion, the police said.

He was last seen how he saw a black trucker hat, a black jacket from the windbreaker type, possibly over a white shirt, dark canon jeans with rhinestones on the background bags and flat nike shoes, the police said.

The shootout occurred around 3:49 p.m. in one that the police called a secure area near an auxiliary building.

“When the person approached, the person fired on the official who brought the fire back,” said the police in the press release. It was not known whether the suspect was hit. He fled from the scene on foot.

The shot hit the officer in an area protected by body armor, said Capt. Meme Colla. He was brought to the San Francisco General Hospital and is supposed to relax, she said.

The person interested ran against El Camino Real near the Barroilhet Avenue in Burlingame around 5:30 p.m. or almost two hours after the shootout.

“The person seemed anxious and often looked back and suggested an attempt to avoid discovery,” said the police.

Colla said it was possible that the man could have hidden from officials who were involved in an intensive search of the area around the police station.

The police headquarters are located in the town hall in Floribunda Ave. 1600.

The Hillsborough police ask the residents and companies in the region to check all surveillance camera material from the afternoon and evening of February 22nd for everyone around the area or an unknown vehicle nearby.
