Police arrest two Idaho men who have anchored children during the undercover investigations

The following is a press release from the Idaho General Prosecutor.

Boise -Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced investigators with his Idaho -task Force against children (ICAC) and the Canyon County's sheriff office, who worked with other law enforcement authorities, arrested two men in Canyon County.

On Wednesday, Jesse Elam, 42, and Thursday, and on Thursday, Garrett Vinni, 37, were arrested and accused of one count, a child was too tempting by using the Internet or another communication device.

Both men were arrested as part of a coordinated undercover surgery by law enforcement authorities. The operation aimed at perpetrators who communicate with children about text, social media and other chat platforms in order to meet for sexual activities.

During the two-night surgery, the officials worked to expose adults, sexually abuse children and wanted to share the material for sexual abuse of children. Both suspects are detained in Canyon County prison.

“I am grateful to each of our participating agencies and partners that these continuous efforts can protect the children from exploitation,” said Attorney General Labrador. “The ICAC -Task Force and our growing nationwide network have a unique focus to remove children from our streets. We will not stop this persecution. ”

This operation was a cooperative effort that included civil servants, lawyers and support staff from all over Idaho. Agencies including the Idaho Office of the Attorney General, Canyon County Sheriff Office, Idaho State Police, Canyon County Prosecutors Office, United States Attorney's Office, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), and The Idaho ICAC Unit Including Affiliate Investigators from the Boise Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, Rupert Police Department, Moscow Police Authority, Police Authority of Coeur D'Lene and Nampa Police Department.

“This case is proof of the authorization of law enforcement authorities who work in accordance with the installation of criminal work,” said Kieran Donahue, Sheriff of Canyon County. “Thanks to the relentless efforts of the participants, children's predators were removed from our streets, making Canyon County a safer place. We won't stop pursuing justice. Parents have to remain aware – these predators are out there and their children are at risk. “
