Police Rescue 215 Foreign citizens in the Cambodia fraud Center Raid

According to the Thai authorities, the police saved 215 foreign citizens in an attack in an online fraud center in northwest Cambodia, according to the Thai authorities, in the recent approach to criminal cyber operations in the region.

The victims included 109 Thais, five Taiwanese, three Indonesians, 50 Pakistani and 48 Indians, said Thai officials yesterday.

Officers from Thailand and Cambodia were involved in the Raid on the building in Poipet, the authorities said.

The rescued workers are returned to their home countries when their details have been checked, officials said.

In the past few weeks, Thailand has strengthened his approach to cyber fraud operations, a transnational criminal industry that has found ports in the neighbors of Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. The Thai government said that it must protect its citizens, who have lost at least 60 billion baht ($ 13.9 billion) in the past two years.

The United Nations' human rights office announced in a report that hundreds of thousands of people in Southeast Asia violently held by criminal gangs and perform illegal activities from romantic fraud and crypto fraud to illegal gambling.

Hundreds of Chinese citizens from fraud centers in Myanmar were returned to China last week.
