Price problems of Uber Pets – Gurugram Ms. Ms.

A woman based in Gurugram claimed that Uber pets calculated about the five times the price of a regular Uber GO ride.

In a now viral contribution about LinkedIn, Anya Rao said that she found the new pet-friendly travel option while she had booked a taxi. What attracted her attention was the service, but the price.

“I recently booked an over and her new function, about pets, noticed that the drivers can bring their pets with them,” she said.

“Well, not when you look at the price. I did a price comparison for a distance of 2 km. A regular Uber cabin costs 100 RS, while Uber pets costs 530 RS. This is 5.3 times the price, only to have your pet with you,” added Anya.

“If the goal was accessible, why is this service a luxury?” She asked. Anya speculated about what the pricing could justify. “Is it additional cleaning fees? A premium for animal -friendly drivers? Or just another way to get more money out of pet owners?” she asked.

“For many, pets are a family and they shouldn't have to pay an absurd premium just to travel together,” said Anya when she closed her post.

Social -Media users have flooded the comment area to express their concerns.

“The 5.3 times the price was really unexpected. I do not think that people select this about their own vehicle or a better option than this,” said one user while another was added: “The accessibility should not be delivered with a luxury price.”

“It is surprising how a service that should make the pet trips easier, like a luxury. If it is about cleaning fees, a reimbursable deposit would not make more sense? And if it is possible for animal-friendly drivers, this means that regular over-the-drivers can reject pets themselves, even if they are good?” A user asked and added: “Either way, it seems to be a difficult offer for animal parents. Beautiful animals don't have to work to afford their own trips!”

Uber introduced his Uber Pets Service in Bengaluru last year and recently expanded to Delhi and Mumbai. While the service enables the drivers to travel with their pets, the owners have now wondered whether it is convenience or a costly compromise. Uber still has to react to the viral post.
