Prime video loses “the Creator” Wednesday, March 19th And I can't help but feel like this film has never received the recognition he deserves. There are so many science fiction films out there that I understand why some missed “the Creator”. Published in the cinemas in September 2023, shortly after the strike of the Writers Guild of America was completed, his timing probably contributed to its low visibility.

When streaming met in December of this year, it unfortunately flew under the radar, although it has recently been one of the most unique and fascinating science fiction films. This is exactly why I am here to talk about it so that it does not disappear in the darkest corners of the beam world.

“The Creator” is the type of original science fiction that we rarely get more. It is brave, emotional, beautiful and contains characters that are actually important to them. There are no blockbuster formula to dilute them. Director Gareth Edwards and his team have created a world in which they feel lived. This is one thing that I really love.

From the cities soaked in Neon to the villages dragged by the war, every place on the screen looks incredibly cool. It essentially has the extent of a “Star Wars” film, but the soul of an indie film, and this balance makes it something special.

And then there is the emotional core of the story that will definitely pull on their hearts and promote a few tears. But this only proves that this film can cause this kind of emotions through its characters and history.

John David Washington delivers one of his best performances as a soldier who has seen too much and has nothing to do with the war – until he meets Alphie, a KI child with the potential.

Madeleine Yuna Voyles, who plays Alphie, does not even speak much, but shows her talent through facial expressions and her interactions with Joshua. To be honest, it is rare that a children's actor steals the show, but she does it. It is your bond that prevents this from becoming a generic science fiction film because you experience everything you do together. And that feels very Reminds Joel and Ellie in “The Last of Us”.

There is a lot to love in “The Creator”, but I understand why it has mixed reviews. With a two-hour term, especially for those who prefer their science fiction-fast and action-actor-haspidated, it can feel pretty bloated. But trust me that this term is deserved, even if it sometimes pulls.

The story takes time to develop the protagonist and shows his transformation from an isolated soldier to an unexpected father figure in the middle of a war. While the pace in the middle could slow down to reflect its new bond with Alphie, it is a necessary list for an emotional and powerful end. Remember to have a few tissues on hand.

If you are fed up with starting soulless restarts and sequels in the world of science fiction, “The Creator” is exactly what you need. It is fresh from the heart and one of the best science fiction films that I have seen in recent years. Do yourself and stream it as soon as possible before it leaves the Prime video on March 19.
