Prince Harry's US -VISA files published with severe editorial offices

Prince Harry's US -VISA files published with severe editorial offices

Documents related to Prince Harry's USVISA application were published according to a judicial order. Due to extensive editorial offices, however, they reveal only low information. The publication took place after a freedom of information submitted by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, which claimed that Prince Harry moved to the USA in his application in the USA in 2020.

The controversy behind the visa request

The request of the Heritage Foundation came from Prince Harry's 2023 memoirs, Spare partWhere he admitted to having used cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms. According to the US immigration laws, an approval of drug use in the past may prevent applicants from receiving a visa, although immigration officials have the discretion to grant exceptions.

In Spare partHarry told experimentation with drugs and explained:

“Cocaine didn't do anything to me, but marijuana is different, that really helped me.”

Court dispute and data protection concerns

Despite an earlier decision that Prince Harry's privacy outweighs the public interest, judge Carl Nichols accepted this decision last week and ordered the government to publish reduced versions of the documents. However, the non -sealed files offered only a few new information, with more than half of the 80 pages being strongly edited.

A statement by Jarrod Panter, a US Department for Homeland Security (DHS), warned that the publication of non -edited documents Harry can expose “damage and harassment” to the public in which it is stated:

“In order to publish such information, the person might harm the public who may have a reason to manipulate or bother individuals depending on the status in the United States.”

What do the documents show?

The documents mainly contain court depreciation and supportive explanations from the case of the Heritage Foundation, but no details have been announced about how Prince Harry answered the drug use on his visa application.

Trump's attitude

In a surprising turn, former President Donald Trump recently commented on Prince Harry's immigration status and said he would not deport Harry. Trump supposedly noticed:

“I'll leave him alone.

What's next for Prince Harry?

While the documents do not clarify whether Prince Harry revealed his earlier drug use, the strong editorial offices ensure that his immigration status and privacy will remain protected for the time being. However, the Saga may not be over with the ongoing examination of its US residence.
