Prospect Medical to begin closures of the Crozer Health – main media messages

Prospect Medical Holdings Inc. has announced that it will start on Thursday with the completion of a procedure for the Crozer Health.

In court proceedings, the non -profit company based in California announced that the health system will be closed by Friday, March 14th.

In February, a judge of the federal bankruptcy in North Texas approved an agreement between Prospect Medical Holdings and the Office of the General Prosecutor of Pennsylvania, Dave Sunday, for the appointment of FTI Consulting Inc. to monitor Crozer Health.

In January, Prospect reported bankruptcy for many of his real estate outside of California, including the Crozer health system.

In October, the then general administrator Michelle Henry submitted a lawsuit against Prospect Medical for “years of mismanagement, company looting and the neglect of the hospital system, his patients and his employees. At that time, she also wanted to use a recipient to monitor Crozer Health operations.

Prospect Medical Holdings had two previous attempts to sell the Crozer health system. In 2022 it signed a substitute for intent with Christianacare and last year they signed a replacement of intent with Cha Partners, Inc. with Healthcare Preferred Partners to lead the health system. Both business could not materialize themselves.

Prospect Medical Holdings bought the then Crozer Keystone Health System Crozer Health in 2016. In April 2020, the company closed the Springfield Hospital and in 2022 hired the company in the Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Upper Darby to convert it into a behavioral health hospital.

The remaining open hospitals are the Crozer Chest Medical Center and the Taylor Hospital, but apparently only eight days left.
