PSG VS Liverpool: UEFA Champions League statistics & head to head

The boss of Liverpool, Arne Slot, says his team can only be described as the best team in Europe when they have won the Champions League.

The Reds are in France on Wednesday in the first stage of their last 16 tie in the form of Paris St-Germain.

Before the game, PSG head coach Luis Enrique described the Slot site as “almost perfect” team.

Liverpool led the champions of the Champions League league and currently led the Premier League by 13 points.

“It is a nice compliment to get, but the best team in Europe has to win the Champions League, but we are far from a very difficult game starting [against PSG]”Slot said.

“I think the best team in Europe is still Real Madrid when you won this competition last season.

“Someone else can say something else, but for us we have to win it before we can say it.”

The striker of Liverpool, Cody Gakpo, is a great doubt about the game after picking up a knock on Tuesday.

The Netherlands International is the second highest scorer of the Reds this season with 16 goals in all competitions.

“He was about to play again, but unfortunately he had to block a shot yesterday and he felt a little pain again,” added Slot.

“We brought him to judge how he can be part of the squad, but it will be a close call.”
