The office of the Swiss General Prosecutor would like to hire the procedure against Peter Lauener, the former communications manager for the former Federal Councilor Alain Berset, and the CEO of Ringier, Marc Walder. The suspicion was not justified.

The Office of the General Prosecutor of Switzerland (OAG) confirmed a corresponding report by Tamedia Newspapers to the Keystone-SDA news agency on Thursday. The OAG wrote the suspicion of the evidence that can be used could not be justified.

This is a result of a judgment of the Federal Court of Justice in February: In this judgment, the court banned the OAG to evaluate e -mails between Alain Berset's former information manager and the CEO of Ringier Group, which supported the subsequent.

Like the Bern farm, the judges measures the protection of journalistic sources more than the clarification of the so-called corona leaks. The confiscated data providers are therefore sealed.
