Rain today, the first alarm weather day for snow and wind morning

Wausau, Wis. (WSAW) – Tuesday will have more rain than on Monday. We have about 40% probability of rain during the morning and in the early afternoon. Around 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. this afternoon, the rain will continue to be spread. The rainfall in some communities in the Northwoods can be between less than 0.25 inches to 0.50 to 0.75 inches south. It all depends on when this change from rain to snow occurs.

Top speed in the low until the mid -1940s with a rain break later in the morning. More rain will return this afternoon.(WSAW)

We still have a first alarm weather day for tonight until tomorrow afternoon due to snow and gusty winds. The snowfalls range from just a few centimeters in communities such as Wautoma & Oxford to 6-9 inches in the Northwoods. A few communities along the border between Michigan/Wisconsin could be preserved in two digits due to the increased snowfall in the lake. This snow will be wet and sticky.

In order to be accompanied by all the snow, we will also have very gusty winds. This was something that we didn't have when we were the last few times with a moderate to strong snow. Winds could get from the north on Wednesday up to 30 to 40 miles per hour. The combination of snow that weighs on trees, ice cream on power lines and the gusty winds will create the potential for falling trees and power failures on Wednesday. The winds will calm down early Thursday.

Winds could blow up to 30 to 40 miles per hour and snow on these streets.

Outside the rain and snow mentioned above, there is no further serious precipitation for precipitation this week. Easy snowfall cannot be excluded south of the Highway 10, but it is most likely that he will pursue towards Milwaukee as us on site. We will let you know if that changes.
