Rain washes Australia-Sa-Match out

The Champions Trophy -Match between Australia and South Africa was abandoned on Tuesday due to persistent rain, which forced the two heavyweights of Group B to share one point.

The weather didn't even allow the throw. Since the conditions did not get better, the match officers called out the game a little more than three hours after the planned starting time. The border period for the game was 7:32 p.m., but the officials made the call much earlier without the weather improvement being in sight.

According to the NO result, South Africa and Australia each shared one point, and it means that the competition on Wednesday between England and Afghanistan has become a virtual knockout.

Australia will play Afghanistan in Lahore on February 28th, while the Proteas face to against England the next day. Rain is predicted both in Rawalpindi and Lahore, and the Pakistani cricket board hopes that it will not play playfully in the coming days.
