Music Mogul Jimmy Humilde's record label, Rancho Humilde, works with Sony to publish the film “Clika” later this year.

Rancho Humile goes Hollywood.

The record label under the direction of CEO Jimmy Humilde announced on Tuesday that Sony Pictures and Sony Music Latin will work together to release the feature film “Clika”. The film directed by Michael Greene tells the story of a musician who continues the legacy of his family. It is planned for a theater publication of August 5 by Columbia Pictures (a subsidiary of Sony).

The film will be played with Herencia de Patrones, the front man Jay Dee, whose group published his debut album “Pa Las Vibras” under the Rancho Humile label in 2019. Jay Dee's fellow guild colleagues for production include experienced actors Eric Roberts and rapper Ohgeesy as well as Cristian Gutierrez, Laura Lopez, Nana Poncele and Uziel Pantoja.

“This film is paving the way for a completely new era of opportunities and representation for Mexican-American creators in Hollywood,” said Humile in a statement shared by Billboard. “We broke in the background, but now we step into the spotlight to show the world what we really are.”

The President of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group Sanford Panitch praised Humile's earlier work in the same statement and said: “Jimmy is a visionary producer whose groundbreaking approach has redesigned the sound of Mexican music.” He added: “Now his important contributions in the world of music open the door for new voices, new types of stories and new film stars.”

In 2011 Humilde and his friends José “JB” Becerra and Roque “Rocky” Venegas founded the rancho humile music label. The company was manufactured for the mission to develop the regional Mexican music tradition for a younger, bicultural generation of fans.

The label Champions artist, whose inheritance not only tell the coarse -grained Mexican folk ballads, who tell the inner life of cough, immigrants or ordinary people who try to let them survive, but also in the sounds and styles of their favorite rappers from the USA. The resulting mix is described as “Corridos Tumbados” or “Trap Corridos”. The booming company is primarily the home of the Mega group Fuerza Regida and the international star Natanael Cano. The label also worked with other large artists such as Bad Bunny, Snoop Dogg and Steve Aoki.

“We are building a culture – as we talk, how we put on how we sing – and it's cool,” said Humile last year the overwhelming success of his label.
