Raptors receive ideal results on Sunday with the help of others

After all, it worked.

The Toronto Raptors have been adjusting their rotation for some time and searched for ways to give away late leads. You have repeatedly pulled your best players in the last games to maintain or improve your lottery chances. Too often the plan failed.

Toronto did it right on Sunday.

With just over five minutes against Portland Trail Blazers, the Raptors demanded a time crossing in the fourth quarter, while six led by six. It was the last time that one of her regular guests saw the ground. Jakob Poeltl finally checked out, and Toronto closed the game with Aj Lawson, Jamison Battle, Colin Castleton, Orlando Robinson and Ochai Agbaji, who played his first game before an injury. The line -up had no point Guard and no little chance of remaining competitive.

Toronto only managed seven points in the last five minutes when Portland gathered to achieve a three-point victory. Even when the raptors had the chance to bind the game in the Summer, their last hope was a Robinson three pointer, the Matisse Thybulle left.

From the lottery's point of view, it was a perfect result.

The loss was considerable, and the Trail Blazer were only four games behind Toronto in the back and another head-to-head matchup. If the raptors had won, this gap would have narrowed significantly, especially if their remaining schedule looks soft.

In this way, the rest of the season will probably play. Toronto has switched since March 7 for Poeltl and Immanuel Quickley. The expectation is that you will continue to play Scottie Barnes and your top players in the first half before you limit your minutes on the track to increase your chances of a defeat in the crunch time.

Sunday also brought more good news for the raptors, with both the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers Siege. This tightened the lead in Toronto for the fifth world record of the league. The catching of Brooklyn or Philadelphia may be difficult because the Raptors' schedule remains, but with just one win that separates the goalonto from the nets, there is still time to move further down.

At the moment, the raptors should take a break from the worst teams in the league, with the upcoming street games against the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. Two losses this week would be Toronto ahead of Chicago, San Antonio and Portland some space in front of Chicago, all of whom will get behind them in lotteries. After that, the raptors will probably return to a shameless tanking if they adhere to slim hopes to make a top four election in this year.
