RCPD examines the shooting of Meadowbrook Drive

Rapid City, SD (Kota) – The Rapid City Police Department is examining a shootout on Tuesday morning on the 3600 block of the Meadowbrook Drive in Rapid City.

RCPD officers were called to the Meadowbrook Drive for a reported shooting at around 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The caller told the officials that they had seen several people who looked around a vehicle in their driveway.

After the caller noticed the people outside the residence, he confronted the individuals.

It was reported that a passenger in a black vehicle fired a shot in the direction of the caller before the suspects got into a black and silver vehicle to leave the scene.

Nobody was injured and the officials could not find any damage to the outside of the house.

The police found vehicles that correspond to the description of the suspicious vehicles at high speeds along the founder Park Drive. The police tried to catch up with the vehicles, but lost sight of them in a residential area.

The silver vehicle was left with visible damage in the Silver and the North Street, but the black vehicle was not found.

RCPD asks everyone in the neighborhood of Meadowbrook Drive to check his outdoor cameras for suspicious activities on Tuesday between 1:00 and 2:30 a.m.
