Record afternoon for Casey O'Brien – The Badger Herald

No. 1 of the women's hockey team of the University of Wisconsin (33-1-2, 25-1-2 WCHA) passed the first round of the WCHA tournament in a Bemidji federal state of Bemidji (6-29-1, 4-24: 0) on Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers expanded their winning streak to 22 and achieved a command event in the second game of the opening series.

Just 15 seconds after the beginning of the time, Junior Kristen Simms opened the goal and set a past Bemidji -State -State goalkeeper, the newcomer Kailtin Groess. The goal, which was supported by Redshirt Senior Lacey Eden and the fifth senior Casey O'Brien in the fifth year, led to a record-breaking moment when O'Brien broke her own record for individual seasonal templates with 51.

The Badgers would continue to put pressure on the offensive and set five goals within 6 minutes, including another goal from Simms.

Despite the efforts of the Beavers, Wisconsin would achieve two late goals. Including the final gate that the newcomer Finley McCarthy achieved, with less than two seconds left, which led to an 11-0 win in Wisconsin.

With this victory, the Badger can look at the Wcha final in Duluth, Minnesota from March 7th to 8th. Wisconsin will try to win the WCHA conference to secure an automatic offer for the NCAA women -ice hockey tournament.
