Red Cedar Raptors Semi-Pro football collects money and awareness before the first season News

Menomonia (WQow) – The Menomonie's new Semi-Pro football team collects only a few weeks before they are taken on the field for their first season on the field.

The Red Cedar Raptors organized a fundraiser for pancake breakfasts and Bake Sale on Saturday. The money collected helps with uniform costs and equipment costs, field maintenance, travel and other costs for the team.

Raptor's head coach Jr. Riley says that it is also a way for the team to get to know the people in the community.

“The community is very aware that we are here, but we are happy to bring more so that they can learn more about us and fill their bellies,” said Riley.

The Raptors are ready to take the field for the first time, with their first game on April 12th in Winona. Then give your home debut on April 26th at the Menomonie High School.
