Normal, sick. – With the games against FBS opponents planned by 2028, the state of Illinois added a familiar name in the form of big ten Conference Stalwart Wisconsin in 2029, the teams said on Friday. The game will be played on September 8, 2029 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

Illinois State has now planned FBS Road Games for the next five seasons: Oklahoma (2025), Northern Illinois (2026), Missouri (2027), Illinois (2028) and Wisconsin (2029).

“It is always great for us to be able to plan a high -quality big ten opponent like Wisconsin”, ISU head coach Brock Spack said. “These games are ideal for our players, fans and alumni and help us to set the yardstick for the season. We were not so long ago in Wisconsin in 2022 and it was a great atmosphere, and I assume that it will be again when the Redbirds visit 2029.”

The meeting between Illinois and Wisconsin 2022 was the first for both programs. The Redbirds played for 12 times Big Ten Foes, including Minnesota, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue and Iowa with a combined record of 1-11 in these competitions for the Redbirds. The only win against a Big Ten enemy came in 2016 when the Redbirds traveled north to record Northwestern, and the wildcats fascinated by scoring a last second field gate to win the game with 9: 7.
