Reed Turchi announces the album and releases a new single “Get Back Train”

The artist, poet and producer Reed Turchi, based in Brooklyn, announced his new album. World in flames, Together with a new single, Get back. The album is scheduled to be released on May 30th, and he will organize a single release show in Club Groove on Thursday, March 6th in Club Groove.

World on Fire is a collection of vintage blues and spiritual melodies that explore its experience with illness, divorce and a ongoing train. His single, Get Back Train, which was released on February 25, was inspired by his childhood, who grew up in North Carolina, and fell asleep every evening to train noises. Turchi's version of Get Back Train is a fusion of Mississippi Fred McDowell and Luther Dickinson as well as his own sound. The song is gentle, but confident, with the twang of the bass and the distinctive references to the melody of the slide guitar, which makes you feel like you are going towards Mississippi on a train.

As a teenager, Turchi was fascinated by the sound of the North Mississippi Hill Country Blues for the first time, and he made regular trips to Northern Mississippi to catch the last authors of the genre and develop his own style of the slide guitar. After graduating from UNC, Turchi started a label to publish albums that he had recorded by Kenny Brown and Joe Ayers. The buzz soon led him to an A&R/production appearance on the label and the studios in Memphis, Tennessee.

While Turchi built his career as an artist, he was stopped by a mysterious medical condition. For two years, the doctors stayed at a loss about the deteriorating symptoms of Turchi and were unable to determine a source for the increasingly weak pain and inner bleeding, which even made simple actions such as eating and drinking until the doctors finally diagnosed with a rare form of Crohn's disease

“If you are awake so many nights in a row in pain, ask yourself to ask yourself what is really important.

After Reed Turchi was unsurpassed, divorce and a cross-country train nationwide, he played again and played the same songs he learned when he fell in love with the North Mississippi Hill Country blues like teenagers for the first time.

“I have known for a long time how to play these melodies, but I didn't know how to sing them until I lived them. I had to find my voice. “

World on Fire is a highlight of everything Turchi has done so far, but also signals an exciting fresh start for him.
