With the aim of making traveling for customers who use several transit services in a single day, Orca makes the regional day for the trip permanently and creates more difficult and accessible to drivers in the entire region, according to a press release.

The price change approved by the Orca Joint Board means that the new Orca Regional Day Pass for $ 6 for adult drivers and 2 US dollars for Orca lift and regional reduction permits (RRFP) and disabled card holders will be available of $ 2. The new tariff offers unlimited trips for the participating transit services for a day for the costs of two trips.

The tariff adjustment was first introduced as advertising pilots in 2024.

“The New Orca Day Pass offers you the freedom to travel over six dollars for six dollars all day,” said Christina O'Claire, chairwoman of the Orca Joint Board and director of King County Metro's mobility department. “The Orca Day Pass also makes it easier than ever to connect seamlessly via transit modes, how buses, light rail and on-demand services and between transit agencies. For drivers with disabilities, lower income or seniors, the price is even lower: only $ 2 a day to connect with unlimited possibilities. “

This cost reduction also coincides with the reduction of tariffs for Sound Transit Express bus service, now 3 US dollars per trip and a reduced tariff of Community Transit in the amount of 1 US dollar.
