Remains in the ruins of the large warehouse near the city center of Amarillo

A body was found for the ruins of a large warehouse near Amarillo in the beginning of this month.

On Tuesday, individuals who collect scrap metal found human remains among the ruins in 111 South Tyler.

They immediately reported on the discovery and the office of the state firefighter was notified and was on the way to examining the circumstances of the remains.

The original fire occurred in the early morning hours of February 9 in a free construction of the Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office, which was previously classified as unsafe. The dangerous conditions of the structure caused firefighters to initiate defense operations and to fight the fire from outside.

The crews came as a collapse and the warehouse was destroyed.

No firefighter or civil injuries were reported during the original incident.

The cause of the fire is examined by the Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office, with state officials assisting.
