Rep. MACE uses comments on WCVBS 'on the Record' against WU

During the testimony of Boston Mayor Michelle Wu on the Capitol Hill about the so -called “Sanctuary City” policy about Capitol Hill, the Republican Congress, Rep. Nancy Mace, to say that ice agents threaten the safety of all.

That actually came from something that WU said “in the recording” during an interview about WCVBs.

While WU gave her testimony, Mace stopped a sign with a quote that said: “[ICE] Efforts actually threaten the security of everyone. “

Mace then called a hypocrite.

However, WU's quote from the November interview was taken out of the context.

The full quote that WU said in the interview: “The Federal Government is responsible for a number of actions in cities, and no individual city can turn up or override some of them, but we can ensure that we help to protect our residents in every possible way that we do not work with these efforts that threaten the security of all people through economic reasons.

After the certificate, WU told Newscenter 5 that she was very happy to get back on a plane and return to Boston.
