Technically speaking, St. Patrick's Day is not an official holiday. But for the people in Malones Bar & Grill in Maple Grove, this so -called “drinking holiday” has become one of the most busy weekends of the year.

“It is a good vacation in which people like to come in large groups,” said Nastar Motlagh, General Manager. “So we always expect to be fully equipped. We know that we have a lot of servers to bartender because everyone is only here to hang out. “

This includes people like Rod Saline, who have all dressed up to celebrate his Irish heritage.

“It is important to me because it was important for my mother and I am a 16th Irish,” said Saline.

It is a day when everyone claims to be at least a little Irish, and Malones performs the proverbial green carpet in the form of decorations and special menu items.

“At St. Patrick's Day we always run Corned Beef and Kohl,” said Motlagh. “My cook came in today at 4 a.m. to put four loins in the oven just to make sure they are perfect.”

The Corned Beef and the cabbage are only sold at St. Patrick's Day in Malone's Bar & Grill in Maple Grove.

In total, Malones expect to sell around 120 corned beef and cabbage plates. After all, it's a tradition.

Although not all of this logic agree.

“I'm probably not ordering the Corned Beef and the cabbage, I will probably have a ham and cheese,” said salt solution.

For other people, drinks that are colored green are more their speed. But as far as Malone's concern, the most important thing is that this non-Holden people bring people together.

“St. St. Patrick's day who falls on a Monday is actually pretty good for us, ”said Motlagh. “Monday is the slower day of the week, but today it will be like a Friday.”
