In the UFC Fight Night 254 Middleweight Main Event on Saturday Dolidze (14-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) Marvin Vettori (19-7-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC) defeated by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46).

The first meeting took place in March 2023 at UFC 286, although the result was opposite. At that time, Vettori won a unanimous decision. It was a three-round fight.

This time it was a five-rounder. While there were some similarities between the two fights, Dolidze did just enough to get the nod on Saturday. The fight was mostly fought on the feet. Vettori has now lost three out of four fours in the defeat. The fight on Saturday was his first competition since June 2023.
