Rugby Club Manager, who defeated “incredibly dark” illness, visits the match

The manager of a rugby club, which was taken to the hospital after two heart attacks and a stroke, took part in his first game since the ordeal.

Ryan Thomas, Manager of Pontypool RFC, became sick and hurried to the hospital in November 2024 after two heart attacks and a stroke.

However, on Saturday, February 15th, he was able to take part in a game between his club and Ebbw Vale for the first time since his illness.

His family, including his wife Victoria, was initially said that he would probably not survive the ordeal.

The sister-in-law of Mr. Thomas, Amy Lowe, set up a gofundme page to collect donations to provide Ryan and her sister Victoria money to make rehab some adjustments to Ryan's rehabilitation when he returns from the hospital.

At the time of writing, Gofundme collected more than £ 29,000 for the family of more than 500 people and illustrated the effects of Mr. Thomas on his community.

However, the family was encountered by Mr. Thomas' “mere strength and determination” and achieved what “many thought it was impossible”.

According to his sister -in -law, Mr. Thomas is a “fighter” who “opposed the chances and has survived the non -check”.
