Sacrifice of fatal shots near Colorado Springs Nightclub identified

Colorado Springs, Colorado (KKTV) – The man who died near a night club on the east side of Colorado Springs was identified early on Friday morning.

On Wednesday, the Colorado Springs police said that the forensic doctor of El Paso County had identified Shahid Burke (24) as the man who died after a shootout in the 1000 block of the North Academy Drive near Aqua Nightclub.

According to the police, the officers answered a call in connection with shots that were fired in the area around 2:37 a.m. on Friday, and found evidence that a weapon had been fired, but no victim was found on site.

Less than 20 minutes later, the police said that they had received a call from a local hospital in which a shootout was where the officials died.

Burke's death is examined as 11th murder of the city of 2025. On Wednesday afternoon, the Colorado Springs police stated that no new information on suspects were available and that no arrests had been made.
