Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Video Leak gives me hope and despair

Samsung will officially return to the area of Ultra-Slim phones with the Galaxy S25 Edge in the coming months. So far, the company has only given us a distant insight into the upcoming phone, but has remained a mother in his offal or at the arrival time bar.

Well, an apparently functioning unit of the Galaxy S25 Edge appeared briefly this week in a leaked video that showed its slim profile from all sides. In the short clip, the phone with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is compared, and we also look at the alleged innards via the AIDA64 app.

This is the first time that we see the phone in meat and functional form. It looks stunning, a suitable return for the “edge” fones, which once established Samsungs superiority as a manufacturer of bold and stylish devices. Do you remember the beauty that the Galaxy S6 Edge was?

This is a serious firepower

Now, since Samsung set up a demo unit for the shop window at his unpacked event at the beginning of this year, I was pretty skeptical. What kind of victims did Samsung do to achieve such a thin profile? Will it be competitive enough to swallow within the Mainline Galaxy S25 series?

Well, it seems that the Galaxy S25 Edge is a high-end phone in the same way as the iPhone 16. By that I mean a flagship silicon with a dual camera setup. In the now deleted video we can see the mention of Adreno 830, the graphic engineering qualified, which serves with its top-of-the-line-snapdragon 8 elite silicon.

This is the same silicon that provides the entire Galaxy S25 line and a whole range of other Android flagships such as The OnePlus 13, IQOO 13 and The Red Magic Pro. The video also shows 12 GB RAM and 256 GB onboard memory in the upcoming phone, which is again equated with the Galaxy S25.

I had a few doubts that Samsung would insert a low-end processor into the Galaxy S25 edge so that it does not exhaust the small battery and causes the problems with heat management. But it seems that Samsung managed to clear up both concerns.

If the leaked video is something to do, the slim phone is equipped with a 4,000 -mah -battery that corresponds to the Galaxy S25. So far I have had a pretty good experience with the Galaxy S25 and went without any problems without charging the phone despite the relatively small battery. I assume that the Galaxy S25 edge does not cut off otherwise.

The biggest difference would be the imaging hardware. In contrast to the regular Galaxy S25 and its plus variant (which is equipped with three cameras), the edge cladding only packs two cameras.

After the latest leak we are looking for a primary sensor that absorbs pictures with a resolution of 12 megapixels. This may not be the actual dissolution of the camera sensor, since the AIDA 64 app shows the standard image resolution, which was clicked in the pixel-binned format, and not the actual sensor details.

A 50 megapixel or even a 48 megapixel sensor takes pictures with a 12-megapixel resolution with a 4-in-1 pixel-binning technology. In short, there is a possibility that Samsung AA 12-megapixel primary camera fits on the Galaxy S25 edge, but it could also turn out as a 50-megapixel sensor, just like the regular Galaxy S25.

Prepare your wallet, Galaxy Warrior

The Galaxy S25 Edge develops into a main android flagship phone for 2025. And these are both good and bad news. If you have longed for a thin phone that does not cut serious corners in terms of performance or other important aspects such as camera or battery, this is the best that Android 2025 offers.

On the other hand, it will probably be quite expensive. And not only because the innards correspond more or less with the Mainline galaxy S25 and the engineering work that made it. It seems that the building materials are even more bonus than the regular Galaxy S25.

An Android app allegedly shows the internal details of Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

According to reports, the Korean electronic giant observes a form of ceramic glass material for the rear rear shell of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Taking into account everything that LEKS has served so far, the Galaxy S25 edge can cost the safest estimates or higher at 800 US dollars.

There is definitely a historical precedent for this. Samsung started the Galaxy A8 in 2015, so far it is slimest. This phone offered no flagship chops in the same league such as the phones of the Galaxy S or Galaxy Note Series at the time, but still a price tag of almost 500 US dollars.

Now that Samsung's Mainline-Android flagship begins at $ 800 and touches the basic sticker day of $ 1,300 for the ultra model, the near-match, which is the Galaxy S25 edge, is most likely the entry point. It remains to be seen how far Samsung goes with its innovation tax. As for me, well, I don't keep my hopes high for a pleasant surprise.
