San Antonio FC Set for Fresh Start On, Off Field at the start of the season on Saturday

SAN ANTONIO – Starting fresh can feel like a hint of fresh air. San Antonio FC experiences this feeling with a new season on Saturday with his home start and many new faces.

The biggest change will be the man who leads the product on the field. Head coach Carlos Llamosa was discontinued after the club separated from Alen Marcina in October.

Lamosa comes into the role of over 20 years of professional gaming experience, including four years in the US National Football team and 13 years as a co -trainer.

As the first head coach, Llamosa said that he would be annoyed before the start on Saturday.

“Before playing, they obviously feel nervous and it is normal to feel that,” said Llamosa. “It will be different for me, but I feel every single game.”

Toyota Field has improvements worth $ 1 million: new Bermuda grass, new benches, an upgrade of the changing room and a state-of-the-art video board.

“Make a good look, feel good; Feel good, play well, ”said SAFC defender Mitchell Taintor. “I think the stadium looks good and everyone will feel good in it. And hopefully we play well and start the 10th year on the right foot. ”

“A lot of excitement,” said SAFC striker Diogo Pacheco. “It was a long pre -season and I come here – my first year – it is an amazing atmosphere.”

SAFCs home and season opening game against Monterey Bay FC will take place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Toyota Field.
