Sandals Resorts agree to keep employees tips,

The Prime Minister of Antigua, Gaston Browne, has announced that Sandal's resort has agreed to enable his employees to give her tips after discussions with the chairman of the Executive, Adam Stewart.

The government also changes to adopt protection for hotel employees in order to prevent employers from holding back drinks.

Browne spoke about Pointe FM and commented on Stewart's commitment to the end of controversial politics. Adam Steward supposedly said: “If the government of Antigua & Barbuda wants the employees to receive tips, they can have the tips.” So I said to him, 'Definitely.' “

Browne made it clear that the government expects sandals to proactively update their tips for tips before legislation is issued. “We hope that sandals will be proactive and set up the new tip guideline so that these tips are given tips if employees receive tips, the employees, not the employer or a trust or fund,” he said.
