Sarasota County Sheriff offers tips for safety from security in the spring break

Sarasota, Florida (WWSB) – The fire brigade of Sarasota County increases the reaction skills for March before Spring uses Breakers!

An additional rescue unit is stationed on Siesta Key every day and the fire/lifeboat will patrol on the water on the weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Sarasota County fire brigade is located daily from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Until 7 p.m. they always swim close to a lifeguard and allow the children to swim alone until 7 p.m. an extended lifeguard cover for the reaction of incidents to Lido, Siesta and Casey Key.

Sarasota County Fire Station 13 also has a UTV that can be used to react to emergencies on the beach.

Additional spring holidays:

  • Stay hydrated.
  • Wear the sunscreen.
  • Take breaks in the shade.
  • If in doubt, do not go out! Know how to escape the grip of a RIP current.
  • Have enough rescue service on on board boats and have a sober boat operator.
  • Pack all items and pack them out to the beach. Keep our coast free of garbage.
