Saudia Cargo looks off the date volume | News

Saudia Cargo reported an increase in date volume last year on the increasing demand for the fruits from Saudia Arabia.

The airline stated that the date exports transported on their aircraft had grown by 64% to 1.5 m kg in 2024.

“This reflects the increasing worldwide demand for this extraordinary product, which come from different regions and cities throughout the kingdom, including Al Ahsa, Riad, Qassim and Madinah, which are known for the production of premium date,” said Saudia Cargo in a press release.

The airline said that it used cold chain technologies to ensure the quality of farms to local global markets during its entire journey.

Saudia Cargo has also “integrated” with national sustainability initiatives, which integrate into the plans of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Agriculture as well as the National Center for Palms and Data.

“This also includes supporting initiatives to cultivate and improve palm productivity in the kingdom, with over 37 million palm trees distributed in all regions, which means that the ability of Saudi Arabia to export its products to global markets, and contribute to growth of the agricultural sector and the communities,” said Saudia Cargo.

“Since the global demand for data continues to increase, the Saudia freight is still obliged to improve its investments in intelligent logistics and sustainable transport solutions in order to support Saudi exporters and achieve operational efficiency,” added airlines.

“In line with ambitious efforts to improve the position of Saudi products worldwide, data is a successful model of a flourishing agricultural sector that drives the Saudi economy towards diversification and sustainability.”
