Sault election results are even closer than the original -Bally: election officer

In the officers submitted on Monday, 114 votes separated Scott from second place Lisa Vezeau-Allen

The official results of the elections on Thursday were submitted, with the PC candidate of Ontario Chris Scott confirmed as a winner in the Sault Ste. Marie rides.

With only 118 votes, which you separate in the unofficial count at the end of the night on Thursday, the Ontario NDP candidate Lisa Vezeau-Allen did not allow Scott.

In the officers submitted on Monday, 114 votes separated Scott von Vezeau-Allen, said the local returnee Brian Stinson.

During Scott's victory celebration on Thursday, he thanked the other candidates on the ballot – in Sault Ste. Marie and beyond.

“It takes a lot of courage to get out there, to bring your life to the public,” he said.

“It is good for democracy, and I would like to thank everyone who came across a ballot and put their name.”

The results last Thursday confirm the closest local races since 1905.

These official results were presented to the Ontario elections and shared with the candidates in riding.
