Save the date! Corvette Thunder im Glen Set from May 17th to 18th

With warm weather on the horizon, the CAR show calendar fills up from 2025. If you are looking for a great event in May, you will see Corvette Thunder on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th in Glen. This major event promises two days Corvette Fellowship and a keynote address from Corvette Hall of Famer, Richard Prince.

Harley Earl von GM was strongly influenced by the races on the historic Watkins Glen Raceway while designing the 1953 Corvette. It didn't take long for his vision to be brought to life and was exciting spectators on the New York route.

The extensive legacy of Earl is celebrated throughout the weekend event. Celebrations take place in the Scenic Clute Park directly on Lake Seneca. Further events take place on the main street of the village and on the famous Watkins Glen Raceway.

The fun on Saturday begins with Corvette owners who gather on the Clute Park Trailway to show their precious corvettes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cars should be parked until 9:30 a.m. Various food trucks and providers are set up in the entire park and offer a variety of articles.

A dinner and a presentation by Richard Prince follow at 5 p.m. in the Clute Park Community Center. Prince is a long -time Corvette owner, restorer and writer, who is best known for his photography, which was presented in over 400 publications around the world. Above all, he has been Corvette Racing since the beginning of the team in 1997. In 2024 he was included in the Corvette Hall of Fame in the National Corvette Museum. Prince will present the history of the Corvette and then answer questions about Corvettes Erbe.

Sunday, May 18, starts with corvettes from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Frankling Street in Watkins Glen. Then the owners will fire their engines and take a round of the old course. When the cars are made there, you will drive even more rounds on the world -famous road course for historical Watkins Glen International.

If you are happy to show and drive your corvette, Corvette Thunder am Glen is the event for you. Add the unique opportunity to learn the 72-year history of Corvette from a Hall of Famer, and you have an event that does not have to be overlooked.
