Schieffelin, who also had nine rebounds, saved the tigers in the first half with four direct baskets of teammates, missed their previous 12 attempts-for a 41-31 half-time lead that Notre Dame (12-16, 6-11) could not overcome.

Clemson (23-5, 15-2) exceeded his previous brand for conference victories of 14 and two seasons when the team missed the NCAAs.

Schieffelin, a 6-foot 8-senior, was launching his previous best-of-23 points on February 4, which played a three-time loss of overtime against Georgia Tech on February 4.
