Section couple published before the 115th young Basketball State tournament | Preparations plus

The IHSAA released section food for the young basketball tied tournament on Sunday afternoon, a little more than a week before the first post -season games on March 4.

Class 4a Wayne (16-5), which has won three titles with straight SAC in the last two seasons and reached the semi-tatta weekend, will organize a section with four teams and open with a semi-finals against South Side (16-5). Huntington North (9-12) and Homestead (18-5) are waiting in the other half of the bracket. No. 9 Warsaw (21-4) will play a game against Concord (11-9) in the first round in the Elkhart.

Carroll will also organize a class 4a section in which Snider (13-9) will play the chargers (9-14) and Northrop (9-11) North Side (9-14).

The defense of class A Champion Canterbury (7-13) in the first round of the Fremont Sectional class A pulled a goodbye and will either face Lakeland Christian (10-11) or Hamilton (1-17).

No. 11 Blackhawk Christian (19-3) holds the longest active title series of the state-sie seven years in a row to regional-but that is put to the test when they switched to class 3a. The braves open in the first round of the Garrett section against Concordia (5-16). The Host Railroaders (17-6) will compete in the first round against Angola (15-5), while Leo (11-9) Dekalb (7-14) and Bishop Dwenger (1-20) according to East Noble (11-9).

Columbia City (12-9), which has won a share in the NE8 title, is opened against the host of class 3a Northwood, and the co-champ of Conference Co-Champ (13-9) will be the winner of Mississinewa against Norwell play in class 3a Bellmont.

In class 2a South Adams, Whitko (6-14) is opened against Woodlan (15-7), who won both the regular season and tournament title of the ACAC. The winner goes to Adams Central (13-7), who defeated the Warriors during the regular season. In the other game in the first round, Bishop Luers (17-5) No. 8 meets Bluffton (12-7), with the winner playing in South Adams (6-14).

All sections will be crown champions on March 8; The regional championships will follow on March 15th. Semistat will be on March 22; And the state finals will be played on March 29 in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
