Security tips for the spring breaker | News

The spring break is about fun, memories and security. If you go to new goals in the coming weeks, it is important that the existing rules and restrictions are aware of. Gulf Shores Dan Netemeyer's chief police say that their main limitation was brought into harmony by the city council to start March 1st and end on April 28th.

“A ban on alcohol from the beach, in which we do not allow alcohol to be consumed on the nine miles of miles in the city of Gulf Shores on the beach,” said Netemeyer.

These rules were determined when things got out of control and the cities realized that it became difficult to deal with the large groups.

“The population of underage students drank on the beach on the beach and no greetings for dashers that were available during the beach fights broke out on the beach. It was a danger for people who expect to get Gulf Shores and have a peaceful time on the beach,” said Netemeyer.

In 2019, the Panama City Beach was closed to Orange Beach due to the influx of Spring Breaker. This year alone, Orange Beach made over a thousand arrests. In 2024 they did less than a hundred.

The mayor of Orange Beach, Tony Kennon, says that her efforts to keep orange beach safe was a success.

“This kind of shows them that I think the message is out there and because we have taken you so strong, the place has become what I call families because they know that they can come here and do not have to accept nonsense of the traditional spring holidays,” said Kennon.

The enforcement of rules such as pets, alcohol, fishing or motorized vehicles is only the beginning. Mayor Kennon also urges people to prioritize security in the water.

“Please pay attention to the flags on the beach, you will let you know that the weather is safe or not on Riptides with the heartbeat or drown it if you can swim before a lifeguard stand,” said Kennon.

The additional patrol will be available, since Gulf Shores worked with the Sheriff department of the Baldwin County to support the enforcement of the rules.

The heads of state and government want boating under the influence as dangerous as driving under influence. Make sure you, your friends and family families are safe by being sober while you are behind a bike.
